The following points have been devised to avoid any confusion regarding the responsibilities al-Musafir and traveller(s) have over one another. In these statements “you, traveller, customer, member” etc all refer to people participating in the tour, which includes individuals that may be added or substituted at a later date. When booking with al-Musafir through phone or writing you also effectively agree to have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions for yourself as well as those named in your party.

Payment Methods:

Monetary payments towards al-Musafir can only be received via cash or through deposits paid into a designated bank account. Cheques and Credit Cards are usually not accepted, while customers remain free to choose between paying the main cost as a lump sum or in easy instalments.

Once making a firm intention to participate in the tour, a deposit of £150 per person will be required to process air travel arrangements and guarantee the traveller(s) place in the group. Thereafter, final payments must be given no later then Friday 5th December 2008. Failure to do so may result in additional charges being levied or even loss of a pre-reserved place in the group. (A deposit of only £50 will be needed for those arranging their own air ticket & visa).

After receiving an instalment, members will be sent a receipt via email to confirm that a payment has been made. In order to help verify this without delay, customers are requested to inform al-Musafir straight after making any payment.

Air Travel arrangements:

Travellers have purposely been given the option of arranging their own ticket & visa in order to take advantage from several benefits highlighted in the promotional flyer and website. While such arrangements can and have been made using personal contacts and experience, it is emphasised that all final agreements are ultimately between the customer and appointed agent . Potential group members are also urged to leave ample time when reserving seat(s), and avoid disappointment during a busy holiday season.

A small fee is charged to cover organisational/admin costs related to bookings made on your behalf (this is already included in the final package price).

Package components:

At the time of advertising all items enlisted as part of the package are true to the best of knowledge, while any key changes arising due to unforeseen circumstances will be notified as soon as possible.

Any additional service or luxury used by the traveller (not included in the package) will solely be the customer’s responsibility, whether it is enjoyed during or outside the excursion period.

Group members are liable to pay for any breakage or damage caused to services used by an individual or other

traveller(s) under their immediate care.

Customers may be asked to make additional payments towards unexpected costs that could arise due to  extreme currency fluctuations, or sudden change in agreement with existing service providers etc. These costs (if any) are usually minimal, while al-Musafir will be working hard to avoid such a scenario altogether.

Cancellation policy:

Deposit: alongside securing your place in the group this payment is used to contribute towards initial start-up costs, and unfortunately cannot be refunded in any situation.

Additional contributions: these payments (excluding those paid towards air travel arrangements) can be returned fully to the cancelling party if al-Musafir receives a withdrawal notice prior to Monday 1st December 2008. Due to time constraints, full refunds  cannot be given towards any cancellation submitted on or after this date for reasons such as (and not limited to) personal health, family matters, cancelled or missed flights, documental concerns etc. In such cases travellers  will be entitled to a partial compensation.

All penalties stated above can be completely avoided if a suitable replacement(s) is found by the cancelling person(s).

Similarly, in the event of al-Musafir cancelling the tour due to insufficient demand or other unforeseen circumstances then customers will receive a full reimbursement on all payments made.

Insurance:

No form of travel or medical insurance is provided; hence travellers in need of such cover will have to obtain an external policy.

Declaration:

This particular tour has been arranged using prior knowledge and research; and based on these experiences deem it perfectly safe for customers to partake in. However, in the event of travellers experiencing (and not restricted to the following) ill health or injury through any means, loss of personal property, accidents, natural disasters, legal and documental irregularities, alongside all other grievances that may occur during land or air travels, then while trying to assist in your difficulty, al-Musafir and its representatives cannot accept any form of liability.
